The clean divorce
The Clean Divorce is an Ottawa-based small business that I did a 2-month freelance social media marketing placement with during the spring of 2025. The brand founder was looking for a student specializing is marketing and design to help her develop an extensive social media marketing plan, to schedule posts for the coming year, and to conduct an in-depth analysis of current social media interactivity and analytics to predict future trends.
Deliverable 1:
social media blog posts
Problem
The owner had created informative blog posts that were great promotion, but they weren’t getting views.
She wanted to make social media posts that reflected the brand image, and would link to blogs, increasing viewership across platforms.
This would serve as a gateway to create conversions from social media views to website interactions.
Solution
I would summarize key points and create appealing and informative posts that could be shared across Meta platforms, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
Results
Results were immediately noticeable, which I was able to track and thoroughly analyze using Meta analytics and Ga4 SEO tactics. You can see my full social media growth analysis via the link below.
Deliverable 2:
Affirmation story posts
PROBLEM:
Wanted to post frequently to get boosted in the algorithm, but also wanted to ensure that all posts were high-quality and reflected brand image and values
SOLUTION:
The best way to do this seemed to be to use Instagram and Facebook “story” posts rather than primary feed posts.
RESULTS:
I designed a variety of story posts that met the brand image and style guide, and also posted across Pinterest.
Deliverable 3:
Mediation info posts
Goal:
Create visually appealing infographic-style posts that were made more for LinkedIn and Pinterest, but were also posted across Meta platforms as well. Like the blog posts, the hope was that these would create website conversions, but also serve as more extensive informational posts that could be quick-referenced by potential clients.
social media elements and reports
Part of my job for this placement was also to update some features of their social media pages like their highlight covers (see top right), and some covers for posts linking to existing video promotions and guides (see middle right).
I also completed some reports of potential “next steps” to continue the work after my placement ended, along with a complete deliverables breakdown.
